![]() New chains, new sprockets, new guides and bolts. I also commanded advance and retard to the correct solenoids and nothing changed in idle or performance.Īny issues with these circumstances? I have pulled the cover once and re assembled it without any issues (other than some bleeding knuckles). My question is, I hooked my diag tool (command function) up to it and it showed zero voltage to the camshaft position sensor (which I know there are four of them) could this be an oil flow issue? There was some sludge built up and debris on the solenoids when I pulled them (cleaned them of course). I know I timed it correct, triple verifying by alignment and making additional marks on the actual sprockets and block. referring to the exhaust bank 1 intake and exhaust. put it back together and it ran great for about a half hour then it started making a light tapping sound and the codes came back. replaced all guides, sprockets (minus the phasers) chains and bolts. compared the chains, the old ones were almost 3/4 inch longer. He had a rattle and these codes (p0008, p0016, p0017, p0018), I pulled the timing cover (while in the car) and saw the chains had slop in them.I bought a cloyes timing kit. 1200 bucks IMMACULATE exterior however I see oil issues with the motor. SO, I bought this traverse from a friend.
